HEART OF TIGERS

Who can snare the heart of a tiger?
Not with spear, with rifle, or net,
Not with unseemly promises,
Or whispers of regret.

Tigers seek not to rule
But to savage untamed,
Prowling the jungles
where feasting reigns.

Unaffected by the fears of sheep,
a curse of claw upon the meek.

They seek the seeking,
desire the thrill
live a life, born to kill.

The flesh world bleeds,
for their happy fangs,
whether the tiger bares
his paws, or his hands.
