COW

The unsung Vilomah

carried to tragic birth,

infant flesh

destined to flavor

her enslaver’s

teeth.

So, as the cow laments

a fate of grief-

Nature is shown

to seek

neither justice

nor relief,

from the preeminence

of suffering.
